About Us
NDTS is a fully licensed community-based non-profit substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program operating in Pennsylvania for 38 years (in the Lehigh Valley since 1980 and in Berks County since 1990). Our service model is grounded in an evidence-based practice using Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), in conjunction with counseling, for people suffering from opioid and other substance use disorders. NDTS also provides mental health services at Cedar Point Family Services for those experiencing co-morbid mental health disorders.
The NDTS treatment philosophy focuses on improving quality of life for our patients by employing a whole person approach to treatment. This approach means engaging patients to improve a number of areas of their lives. Whether it's encouraging patients' loved ones to attend family counseling services, helping patients find specialized medical services to treat health conditions, or finding ways to help patients improve their educational or professional credentials, NDTS aims to improve all areas of our patients' lives.
Our mission is to help patients recover from SUD by providing the supports they need to return to normal functionality for their families and communities. We view recovery as a lifelong process that begins when a patient seeks help. Each person seeking treatment is a unique individual presenting specific treatment needs. NDTS offers individualized treatment planning to help patients find their unique paths to recovery.
